Saturday, December 6 – 4:00 pm

Saturday, December 6 - 8:00 pm

An annual tradition in the Valley for five decades, Christmas at the Courthouse brings the community together to create lasting memories through holiday cheer. The holidays just aren’t the same without it!

This year’s program features a festive blend of timeless holiday favorites, a few exciting new works, and joyful audience sing-alongs. Whether you’re moved by sacred reflections on the birth of Jesus or charmed by the secular delights of Santa Claus, gifts under the tree, and cozy fireside moments, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. A Christmas, or holiday, without choral music would be a meager celebration indeed.

Gather with family and friends and let the music of the season warm your heart and lift your spirit.

Requiem for Solace

Trinity Lutheran Church, Stillwater, MN

Sunday, March 8 – 3:00 pm

In Requiem for Solace, acclaimed Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen offers a deeply emotional and contemplative journey through grief, remembrance, and healing. Blending the sacred Latin texts of the traditional Requiem Mass with the poignant poetry of Emily Dickinson and a reflective anonymous English verse, Arnesen weaves a rich tapestry of sound that is at once reverent and modern. This luminous work is marked by lush harmonies, lyrical melodies, and a sensitive interplay between choir and orchestra. Requiem for Solace transcends cultural and spiritual boundaries, offering a universal message of comfort. It is, in the composer’s words, “meant to offer solace to those in pain and grieving, or to provide comfort in moments of remembrance and honor.” Requiem for Solace invites listeners into a place of quiet reflection and emotional release—a musical tribute to the enduring human spirit.

Music & Mind

Trinity Lutheran Church, Stillwater, MN

Sunday, May 3 – 3:00 pm

Music has been fundamental to every human civilization—woven into rituals, healing practices, celebrations, and daily life. But why do we have music, and what makes it so powerful? From our biological evolution to our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, music plays a profound role in shaping the human experience. Science confirms what cultures have long known: music heals. It reduces stress, improves memory, supports emotional wellness, and even aids recovery from illness and injury.

Music & Mind offers a compelling look at music as a powerful tool for healing and human connection.

Music heals. Music connects. Music transforms.
