Commissioning Society

Since the Renaissance, patronage of the arts has evolved from the monarchy, to the church, the nobility and the wealthy, and now to all lovers of art and music. You too can participate in the creation of new music for the 21st century by becoming a member of the Commissioning Society.

Through the work of the Commissioning Society, the Valley Chamber Chorale has successfully commissioned new works by Stephen Paulus, John Leavitt, Jeanie Brindley-Barnett, David Evan Thomas, Aaron David Miller and other fine composers. Together the Society and the Chorale continue this creative process by commissioning new music to be enjoyed by Valley Chamber Chorale audiences in the years to come.

To become a member, simply contribute $500 or more to the Valley Chamber Chorale Commissioning Society. Your donation is tax deductible. For your convenience, you can either donate online or send a check (with “Commissioning Society” written on the memo line) to:  Valley Chamber Chorale, P.O. Box 352, Stillwater, MN 55082.

All commissioning funds provided by the Society members will be used solely for commissions and not for other expenses. If you are a member of the Society, with your permission we will prominently list your name in our concert programs.
